ABOUT RYAN
Ryan first discovered the world of marathons and triathlons when he agreed to join a running club at his wife’s office. What started out as running a 5k turned into training for a half marathon and then ultimately running the Oklahoma City National Memorial Marathon. Always looking for the next challenge, Ryan found that triathlons met his desire for diverse physical challenges. Ryan’s race experience includes a Full Iron Man, several Half Iron Man, 100 mile cycling tours, time trails and numerous sprint and olympic distance triathlon races. Most recently, Ryan qualified for the Halfmax Long Course National Championship which led to qualifying for ITU Long Course World Championship in Germany.
Ryan’s passion and his love for coaching others and sharing his experience has lead him to become a certified coach through USAT, USA Cycling, Team in Training Triathlon Coach certification, and Titleist Performance Institute. He has also received certification from ISSA in Sports Conditioning. Ryan has since coached 12 IronKid National Championship qualifiers, 1 IronKid National Championship top 3 finisher, 3 ITU World Championship qualifiers, 1 Halfmax Long Course National Champion. His current clients include, a former Biggest Loser contestant, 1st time marathoners, experienced and first time triathletes competing in all distances.
Ryan’s competitive edge comes from a lifelong passion for the game of golf. An All -American collegiate golfer, Ryan led the 2001 men’s golf team to the 2001 National Championship. Since college, Ryan has competed in amateur tournaments all across the United States. The cumulation of Ryan’s golf career was playing as one of two representatives in the USGA Mid-Am Championship. Ryan has continued to be in golf serving as an assistant coach and trainer for the 2006 and 2007 Oklahoma City University National Championship men’s golf team. He his currently assistant coach and trainer for the Redlands Community College women’s golf team. Ryan has seen firsthand how strength and conditioning can improve your golf game and everyday life.
